Princess Eugeniewas thinking ofKing Charlesat her latest charity engagement.
On Thursday, Princess Eugenie, 33, publicly spoke about how her uncle is doing for the first time since Buckingham Palace announced he wasdiagnosed with cancer, adding how he would be “very proud” of the project she stepped out in London for.
Prince AndrewandSarah Ferguson’s youngest daughter was out in Chelsea on Thursday to support the opening of the Little Egg Hunt, where she animatedly read the bookElmerto children from the Garden House School 10 days before Easter.

Princess Eugenie, who serves as an Elephant Family patron alongside her mother, the Duchess of York, referenced Shand’s legacy in her recap on Instagram.
“It’s 10 years to the day since the passing of Mark Shand, the founder of the charity, and this felt like a perfect way to celebrate his memory. What an incredible visionary he was to create@elephantfamilyand help protect these beautiful giants,” she wrote.

Princess Eugenie has attended various charity events to support the conservation organization before and sat with Queen Camilla and King Charles at the Elephant Family’s co-sponsored Royal Rickshaw Auction in 2015.
Eugenie likely had an expert take on what went under the hammer, as she worked for the online auction firm Paddle8 before becoming a director at the London art gallery Hauser & Wirth.

Princess Eugenie’s positive comment about how the King is doing came the same day that Queen Camillabriefly spokeabout her husband’s health during her solo trip to Northern Ireland.
On Thursday, the Queen, 76, stepped out in Belfast to see some of the city’s artisan and family-run food shops, where she gave an update at the Arcadia Delicatessen.

“He’s doing very well. He was very disappointed he couldn’t come,” Queen Camilla said after shop assistant Brenda Robb gave her a get-well card for the King, 75, and shared well-wishes, according toHello!magazine. The Queen also reportedly had something playful to say when someone cracked a joke about men “not being the best patients.”
“I try to keep him in order,” Queen Camilla affectionately said of her husband of 18 years.
King Charles has postponed public-facing duties while receiving cancer treatment and has continued to work behind the scenes, most recently meeting with the high commissioners for Tanzania and Singapore at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.
