Prince WilliamandPrince Harrymay be concentrating on their individual lives, but they’ll always support each other.
The current schism between the royal brothers is the result of them being at different points in their lives – William, 36, a father of three, is focusing on his role as the future king, while Harry, 34, is adjusting to married life as a soon-to-be father with causes close to his heart – but they’re still family.
“There is never any doubt that they will be there for each other 100 percent and support each other when it matters,” an insider tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue.
Adds a source close to the royal household, “Maybe they’ll come back together a little later. It’s another stage in the growing up. Sometimes you have to break away in order to come back.”

William and Harry shared a close bond as children, especially in the wake of the 1997 death of their mother,Princess Diana, when they were just 15 and 12.
“They got great comfort from each other when their mother died,” says a family friend.
However, their current focus is on growing their own families.
“It was only going to work until they married—and it went on a while longer than perhaps was originally thought,” one longtime palace staffer explains.

Meghan and Harry also recently Kensington Palace’s two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage, where they have lived since their engagement, for theirnew home in Windsor. They also launched their personal Instagram account, where they’ll document their work and personal life for fans apart from the Kensington Palace account, which is now focused on William and Kate.
The move is a natural progression for the royal family, as William will one day become the Prince of Wales – and all that entails as heir to his father,Prince Charles– so William will have very different responsibilities from his younger brother.
And while it made sense forPrince WilliamandPrince Harryto share one office when they were single men with limited public engagements, their marriages to Kate and Meghan added another element.
