The Ghostbusters are back!
Bill Murray,Dan Aykroyd,Ernie HudsonandAnnie Pottswere on hand to celebrate the New York City premiere ofGhostbusters: Frozen Empireon Thursday.
Each of the four actors starred in the original 1984 comedy and its 1989 sequel, along with the lateHarold Ramis, who died in 2014 at 69,Sigourney WeaverandRick Moranis.
Murray, Aykroyd and Hudson posed for a sweet photo withPaul Ruddand some of the otherGhostbusters: Frozen Empirestars, includingCarrie Coon,Mckenna Grace, andFinn Wolfhard. Rudd, Coon, Grace and Wolfhard joined the franchise in 2021’sAfterlife, which served as a sequel to the original two ’80s movies.

Aykroyd, Murray, Potts and Hudson each made small appearances inAfterlifeand return with larger roles inFrozen Empire, which brings the series and the Ghostbusters back to New York City. Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim also appear in the new movie.

An official synopsis for the upcoming movie reads that the Spengler family unites “with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level,” inFrozen Empire.
“But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an army of ghosts that casts a death chill upon the city, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age,” the synopsis reads.
