Jason Momoasays being a dad is one of the drivers behind his passion for protecting the environment.Speaking with PEOPLE at the premiere ofCommon Ground,a newdocumentary filmthat focuses on the need for sustainable and eco-friendly farming, theAquamanactor, 44, opened up about teaching his kids the importance of living an environmentally-conscious lifestyle.“I feel like I’m doing it and I’m almost force-feeding my children too much,” the father of two — who shares sonNakoa-Wolf Manakauapo, 15, and daughterLola Iolani, 16, with exLisa Bonet— tells PEOPLE.“I took it to their school and we played it at their school, and it was fun to watch all their friends watching it, but I’m like, secretly, I wish they even took it more to the next level,” he continues.“I mean, I want the next generation to take it even more. And they are, some people are, but you just got to deal with what feels good to you and it just fuels me. You fall, you get back up and do it again,” he told the outlet.“They wanna be perfect and they’re afraid; they think if you fall, it’s bad. But I’m like, ‘No, falling is great, man. Falling is great ‘cause you’re gonna succeed if you keep doing it,’ " he continued. “I would never teach acting, but the one thing I could teach is climbing. It gives us this massive bond, and we go outside and do it.
