The trailer for Ant - Man and the Wasp , the continuation to Paul Rudd ’s 2015 solo MCU debut , fall in us agreat look at Evangeline Lilly as the Wasp , as well as some hints about thebaddies Scott and Hope will be facing . But get ’s be honest , most of us are here for all the tinker’s damn that gets bigger and pocket-size . We can see Sonny Burch ( Walton Goggins ) , bear Hank ’s miniaturized building in his quivering arms , shrivel away from from Ant - Man ’s giant gaze . Sonny is the chairman of Cross Technologies , and presumptively assumed control after Darren Cross ( maybe ? ) die in the first film .
We get a duet of gibe showing the Wasp in action , and it ’s all howling . She might not have strike up the superhero mantle when Scott Lang did , but she ’s distinctly a master of the engineering … with fighting skill to boot .
How many people could run on a goddamn tongue ? Get it , girl .
TinyTardigrades ! Also , a closer look at a ship seen earlier in the trailer . No substantiation what it is , but I reckon it ’s a Fantastic Voyage - esque vessel that can make travel to , and through , the Quantum Realm easier . But who cares … it ’s Tiny Tardigrades ! ! !
And finally , we close on our newest duo , the Wasp and Ant - Man . I ’m really mad to see what Lilly convey to the continuation , since the original Ant - Man was fine but moderately forgettable . It ’ll also be great to see how this motion picture factors into Marvel ’s multiverse , as well as the overall future of its Cinematic Universe . Ant - Man and the Wasp comes out July 6 . No carry - on buildings let .
