CMON Limited has announced its plans for A Song of Ice and Fire : Tabletop Miniatures Game , a new miniatures wargame that lets fans of the books and show engagement to the death in their quest to control the Seven Kingdoms .
“ This project allows us to dig late into George R.R. Martin ’s head and hearten the iconic battles from his laurels - winning novels on the tabletop , ” CMON ’s found and president David Doust say .
A Song of Ice and Fire : Tabletop Miniatures Game has player break up their favorite Westerosi House and engage in “ off - book conflict of their own design , ” although you may entirely recreate famous combat from the serial , like the Battle of the Bastards . Hell , if you require , you may change the entire story — get rid of the Red Wedding and have Robb Stark occupy King ’s landing place , or relieve King Joffrey so he can decree as a little shit - faced little terror everlastingly , long may he reign .
CMON has partnered with Dark Sword Miniatures to make the figurine , with the first stage set featuring Lannisters and Starks ( fingers spoil the Targaryen lot have giant - ass dragons , too ) . battle can range from belittled skirmish with a few fighting units to a full - on warfare with hundred of illumination . And , of course , each House is lead by its iconic heroes , like Jaime Lannister or Robb Stark … although thing did n’t work out too well for the latter . The Kickstarter for the first go under launch by recent fall , and CMON plans to release the first lay sometime in 2018 .
