First Look At HBO’s NewWestworldSeries Looks Crazy Good

Holy crap , three seconds of HBO ’s reboot television adjustment Westworld just got us crazily excited . This show could be really , really fun and unearthly — and that ’s big !

HBO just released a video roundup of their year , which included glimpses of their new television serial , and in it was a sneaker peep at Jonathan Nolan ’s ( Person of Interest , Interstellar ) Westworld . The premise is take from the 1973 Michael Crichton film of the same name , set in the near hereafter in an adult - themed entertainment park populate with androids that will set up any scenario the pay up human customers want . The most popular scenario is the Wild Wild West set - up , which to begin with starred legendary player Yul Brynner as a malfunction robot / cowboy that decides to turn on his human captor .

The new serial will be unlike , but we ’re not sure how . clear they are keeping the all - important westerly element of the series ( and that ’s great ) . Also , the HBO cast is insane . It stars Anthony Hopkins ( as the fountainhead of the adult entertainment park ) , Evan Rachel Wood , and Ed Harris ( who will be present the golem gunman originally limn by Brynner ) .
