Cybersecurity firm Symantec took a major swipe at Formosan hackers on Tuesday , when it revealed the details of the grouping that ’s behind some of the best - bonk onset on the United States . Unlike early reports , however , Symantec ’s write up is n’t about the Chinese armed services . These are hackers - for - hire .
Symantec has dubbed the mercenary group “ Hidden Lynx ” andsays it ’s a “ professional organization ” with “ a hunger and drivethat surpass other well - make out group . ” The drudge have carried out at least six major attack since 2011 , in addition to the 2009 Operation Aurora attacks that aim Google , specifically the Gmail account of human right wing activist . Hidden Lynx is being implicated in another major campaign that targeted hundreds of fiscal business firm , regime agencies and defense contractor .
