For the dear of all that is holy and Jobsian , however , it does n’t mean they ’re going to make a MacBoxStationCube 1080 — the iPhone ( and maybe that lozenge / pad affair ) is Apple ’s gaming platform . 15 of thetop 20 paid apps of all sentence are games . There areover 9,000 gamesin the App Store . And there are 37 million iPod soupcon and iPhone out there — still below thePSP ’s 50 millionand the DS ’s 100 million , but consider these are console table that have been out at least double as long as the iPhone platform .
It ’s not just the numbers , either . Apple ’s got a very existent gaming weapons platform , they’vegot their own chipsin stead , and now they have a legit gaming strategist . If Nintendo and Sony were n’t relate at all antecedently , I ideate at least a pearl or two of fret is drip down their brow now , even if direct , bloody fight between their console and the iPhone is still a generation or two off .
