Walter has painstakingly charted the buried rivers , Tube lines , bunker , toilet , government burrow and other hypogeal secret of London . He ’s also include mysterious and underworld elements , such as unresolved murders , ley melodic phrase and pagan burial land site . Like his famed 2008 workThe Island , to which this is a companion slice , London Subterranea is a mesmerising tagliatella , combining scrupulous research with artistic whimsy .
