From sexy red carpet styles to stunning tributes to rap royalty Missy Elliott,Queen Latifah,Lil’ KimandSalt-N-Pepa, the2016 VH1 Hip Hop Honorshad no shortage of amazing moments. The long-overdue salute to hip hop’s leading ladies marked a moment of solidarity in what has been a male-dominated genre. Kim put aside her long-simmering feud with Faith Evans, and Latifah led the ensemble through her 1993 hit “U.N.I.T.Y” in an emotional grand finale.

When Queen Latifah took her place in the honoree box, she documented the moment with an enormous camera. The audience went wild as the hip hop icon struck her best paparazzi pose and snapped photos of the crowds below. She then handed off the camera to a friend to take a quick pic of her leaning on the balcony and waving to her legion of fans.
- Missy Elliott and Queen Latifah hugged like besties.Missy Elliott entered the box next, eliciting a roar from the crowd packed into Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall. Queen Latifah took a photo of the fellow hip hop diva and the two shared a warm embrace. Latifah then passed Elliott the camera and gave her an impromptu photography lesson before taking more shots of the crowd and each other.
Seated next to each other throughout the evening, the pair were seen chatting happily like old friends. “We talk on the phone all the time,” Latifah said later from the stage.
Lil’ Kim made a dramatic entrance.Lil’ Kim staged a delayed arrival, sitting down next to her fellow honorees just as a show producer announced “20 seconds to broadcast” over the PA system. This ensured that the 2016 VH1 Hip Hop Honors started off with deafening screams of excitement. The Queen Bee sure knows how to make an entrance!
Little Royal Reign clapped and grooved along to her mama’s performance.Lil’ Kim’s adorable 2-year-old Royal Reign made her red carpet debut earlier in the evening wearing a show-stealing gold jacket with a matching hat. She spent the rest of the night behind her mother’s seat in the honoree box, and clapped enthusiastically throughout Lil’ Kim’s tribute performance. Clearly she’s a fan!
Ice-T compared Coco and Amber Rose’s butts – maybe.Ice-T and Coco were among the first to arrive at a Hennessy-hosted dinner honoring Missy Elliott and Lil’ Kim at New York’s Kim Jue Lan Club later that night. The adorable couple got cozy in a booth and talked over steamed dumplings and cocktails. Ice was seen scrolling through pictures on his phone of Coco posing with Amber Rose earlier in the night. Is he admiring his wife’s colorful, skin-tight dress, or comparing behinds? The jury is out.
